Anyone who saw the film a/k/a/ Tommy Chong can only feel sympathy over the harassment he faced at the hands of the U.S. government.
The former Vancouver resident knows what it’s like to have agents show up to raid his home and then find himself in the slammer.
It was all because his son ran a company that was selling drug paraphernalia.
The documentary revealed that Chong was sentenced to jail because his movie, Up in Smoke, mocked the government’s antidrug initiatives.
It would be laughable if it weren’t true.
Now, that same Tommy Chong is telling none other than Donald Trump that he had better prepare for a trip to the crowbar hotel.
It came in a tweet after Trump expressed his support for California Republican gubernatorial candidate John Cox.
“He’ll make California Great Again!” Trump declared over Twitter.
That prompted the following retort from Chong: “No more Russian help Donald. You needed their help to get where you are but that’s over. Get ready for jail cause that’s where you are going.”
So far, there’s no word that Trump has sicked his elfin attorney general, Jeff Sessions, on Chong’s latest venture: Chong’s Choice.
You can find this locally grown cannabis in Arizona, California, Colorado, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.
Oh, by the way, that wasn’t the only anti-Trump tweet today from Chong, who says he enjoys trolling the president.
And why not? U.S. District Court Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald recently ruled that Trump can no longer block people on his Twitter account because that violates the First Amendment of the U.S. constitution.
