A cannabis company, which has its headquarters in Vancouver, is recalling one of its products due to improper labelling.
Health Canada announced on December 17 that Zenabis is recalling its Namaste CBD Light Softgels gelcaps sold in New Brunswick.
Although the label states that the units contain CBD Light gelcaps, the containers incorrectly have THC gelcaps inside them instead.
The affected product, sold through the provincially run Cannabis NB in New Brunswick, is sold in 0.22 millilitre units with 15 capsules per unit, and has lot number 1000321.
The printed values on the label are:
- THC: 0.19 mg/capsule
- CBD: 6.13 mg/capsule
- Total potential THC: 0.19mg/capsule
- Total potential CBD: 6.13mg/capsule
However, the actual values are:
- THC: 2.247mg/capsule
- CBD: 0.00 mg/capsule
- Total potential THC: 2.28 mg/capsule
- Total potential CBD: 0.00 mg/capsule
A total of 165 units were sold on October 7.
Zenabis has received one complaint thus far in relation to this error while Health Canada hasn’t received any complaints yet.
