As we head towards cannabis legalization in Canada, the one thing we can all agree on is that consumer education was needed yesterday.
At Flower & Freedom we are on a mission to empower people to explore cannabis as part of a healthy lifestyle. This inspired us to create The Elevate Experience, an evening of exploration for the cannabis curious.
At this unique event, happening on October 12th in Mount Pleasant, we have brought together some of B.C.’s finest cannabis brands and industry experts to arm you with the tools and knowledge needed to become a safe and educated consumer.
Explore how cannabis can be part of a healthy lifestyle
The Elevate Experience is an interactive evening, designed to expose you to the different elements of cannabis. Once these are understood, you’ll be able to make better cannabis choices, and in turn have better cannabis experiences. Throughout the evening, guests will have the opportunity to interact and learn in a hands-on way.
One of Canada’s licensed medical marijuana producers, Tilray, will be there to explain how cannabis interacts with our bodies, and to give guests a better understanding of its active compounds.
Guests will also have the chance to discover cannabis skin care through the Cannalife Botanicals demonstration with products such as arthritis balm, muscle rub, pleasure oil and bath soak. This type of cannabis consumption does not usually produce a high and can be an excellent way to introduce cannabis into a healthy lifestyle.
Learn how to pick the right cannabis strain for different intentions. Using Aurora Cannabis strains you will learn how to identify the different aromas in cannabis and understand that these are what drive the mood and feeling of a sativa or indica strain.
Other topics covered throughout the evening include cannabis edibles, cannabis fitness, vapourizing, seniors and cannabis, technology, oils and capsules, microdosing and more.
Bring your girlfriend, mother, sister or colleague
We’ve designed The Elevate Experience to be a safe and welcoming environment for people of all ages and backgrounds. In fact, this event would be a great introductory event for anyone new to cannabis, including your mother, sister, aunt, wife or girlfriend.
Not just for women, the evening is the perfect opportunity for anyone that is new to cannabis, or someone that has cannabis questions that are difficult to answer on your own.
There is no cannabis or alcohol consumption facilitated or supplied at the event. Instead we will serve cold pressed juice alongside healthy snacks. Each guest will receive a swag bag and have a chance to win various prizes.
Be part of shaping relevant cannabis consumer education
This event is the first Flower & Freedom interactive evening and we need your help to shape an experience that Vancouverites can benefit from over the coming year.
We all have a role to play in redefining cannabis in our society, making sure that everyone has a chance to understand how cannabis can be consumed safely and how it might be of therapeutic value.
We will ask each guest’s for feedback to improve and shape future educational events in an effort to optimize the learning experience for someone with minimal cannabis knowledge.
In our experience, the unhealthiest thing about cannabis has been a lack of education. With legalization on the way, we are inspired to be the change and we hope you’ll join us on our mission.
Limited tickets are available on Eventbrite. Follow along on Instagram and Facebook as we share some more details of the evening.
